We’re on the lookout for a Reeler Assistant Uptakes #2 FTC to work along the #2 Uptake Operator to ensure maximum production while meeting the required set safety and quality specification standard.

As a Reeler Assistant Uptakes #2 FTC you will be responsible for:

• Operate the reel conveyor safely and efficiently in accordance with operating procedures.
• Move reels for weighing, conveying, and storage in the designated pulp slab area.
• Label reels accurately to ensure correct product identification and traceability.
• Carry out operational tasks as directed by the Process Operator and Shift Superintendent.
• Perform routine cleaning of machines and equipment during shutdowns and as operationally required.
• Report equipment failures, defects, and abnormal plant conditions promptly.
• Apply best operating practices to ensure safe, efficient, and quality production.
• Identify, communicate, and help mitigate workplace risks while complying with safety requirements.
  
  

What are we looking for?

• Matric (Grade 12) with Maths & Physical Science or N3 in Pulp and Paper.
• Minimum 6 months relevant experience in a production environment.
